🌮 Al Pastor Beef Carnitas Recipe (Featuring Just Meats)

Hey friends! I’m so excited to share this juicy, tangy, flavor-packed Al Pastor Beef Carnitas recipe made with Just Meats Hawaiian Teriyaki Beef! 🍍🔥

I love showing you quick ways to turn pre-cooked meats into something restaurant-worthy—without spending hours in the kitchen. Let’s get into it!

🥩 Ingredients:

  • 1 pack Just Meats Hawaiian Teriyaki Beef
  • 1 medium onion, peeled & quartered 🧅
  • 1 medium jalapeño, sliced (remove seeds!) 🌶️
  • 6 cloves garlic, smashed 🧄
  • 1 cup chicken or beef broth 🍗🥩
  • 1 cup pineapple juice 🍍
  • Juice & zest of 1 lemon 🍋
  • Juice & zest of 1 lime 🍈

✨ Note: The pineapple juice is used to infuse flavor and tenderize the meat. You won’t actually consume the juice—it stays in the pot!

🌯 Optional Mexican Sides:

  • 🥬 Lettuce wraps or salad base
  • 🌮 Warmed low-carb tortillas
  • 🫑 Sautéed peppers & onions
  • 🧀 Shredded cheese
  • 🌿 Fresh cilantro
  • 🍍 Pineapple chunks (for non-keto eaters!)
  • 🥑 Avocado slices
  • 🍋 Lime wedges

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Wash the lemon and lime. Using a vegetable peeler, remove thin strips of zest and add them to a pot.
  2. Juice the lemon and lime, then pour both juices into the pot. 🍋🍈
  3. In a large pot, heat 2–3 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, onion, and jalapeño. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant. 🔥
  4. Pour in the broth and pineapple juice. Bring everything to a rolling boil. 🍲
  5. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer and add the Just Meats Hawaiian Teriyaki Beef into the flavorful bath. Let it simmer for a few minutes to soak up all the deliciousness. 😋
  6. Turn off the heat. Carefully remove just the meat from the pot. (Leave the broth and aromatics behind.)
