Biscocho in the Philippines is a crunchy, twice-baked bread snack coated with butter and sugar (or sometimes garlic).
Filipino Biscocho gets a low-carb, sugar-free Ketobeastbeauty makeover! 🇵🇭
We use Hero Classic White Bread with a buttery homemade keto condensed milk topping, then bake it until golden and crispy. Perfect with coffee or tea.
This recipe also includes an easy homemade sugar-free keto condensed milk you can use for other keto Filipino desserts.

FILIPINO BISCHOCHO COOKIE RECIPE

Yield: 8 pieces

Part 1: Homemade Sugar-Free Keto Condensed Milk

Ingredients

- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup allulose or monk fruit/allulose blend, adjusted to taste
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt

Directions

1. Add the heavy cream, butter, and sweetener to a saucepan.
2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat, then reduce the heat.
3. Simmer gently for about 25–35 minutes, stirring periodically, until
reduced and noticeably thickened. Do not hard-boil.
4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and sea salt.
5. Cool. The condensed milk thickens considerably as it cools.
Refrigerate for an even thicker consistency.

Part 2: Keto Filipino Biscocho

Ingredients

- 4 slices Hero Classic White Bread
- 3 tbsp salted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp homemade keto condensed milk
- 1 1/2–2 tbsp powdered allulose or monk fruit/allulose blend
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: pinch of cinnamon

Directions

1. Cut each bread slice in half to make 8 pieces.
2. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Pre-toast at 300°F (150°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
3. Mix softened butter, keto condensed milk, sweetener, vanilla, and optional cinnamon until smooth and creamy.
4. Spread the buttery topping evenly over the pre-toasted bread.
5. Bake at 325°F (165°C) for 8–12 minutes, watching closely, until golden and crisp.
6. For an extra-rich version, add a thin second layer of topping and return to the 325°F (165°C) oven for another 5–8 minutes, until set and lightly golden.
7. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. The biscocho will continue to crisp as it cools.

KETOBEASTBEAUTY TIP

Pre-toast the bread before adding the sweet buttery topping. Removing moisture first helps create the classic Filipino biscocho crunch. Let the finished pieces cool completely for maximum crispness.

Keto-Friendly Filipino Dipping Sauce Recipes — 6 Ways!

Sugar-Free • Filipino-Inspired • Low-Carb

Six Filipino dipping sauces, made sugar-free and low-carb! 🇵🇭 We’re making Toyomansi, Sukang Pinakurat, Keto-Style Bagoong, Sawsawan, Adobo Sauce, and Sugar-Free Sweet Chili.

I use coconut aminos or gluten-free soy sauce/tamari instead of regular soy sauce, and sugar-free sweeteners where sweetness is needed.

Perfect with grilled meats, seafood, vegetables, eggs, lumpia-style low-carb dishes, and more.

NOTE: Nutrition is approximate and depends on the exact brands used. For coconut aminos, choose an unsweetened/no-added-sugar option when available. Gluten-free soy sauce (tamari) may be used instead.

RECIPES:

1) TOYOMANSI — THE CLASSIC DIP
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos OR gluten-free soy sauce/tamari
- 3 tbsp fresh calamansi juice (lemon juice may substitute)
- 1–2 Thai chilies, sliced, or to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Optional: small pinch allulose or monk fruit, only if needed

Directions:
1. Combine coconut aminos and calamansi juice.
2. Add chilies and garlic.
3. Stir well.
4. Rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

2) SUKANG PINAKURAT — SPICY & TANGY
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup cane vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2–3 Thai chilies, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small shallot or red onion, sliced
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, julienned (optional)
- Optional: allulose or monk fruit to taste

Directions:
1. Combine vinegar and water.
2. Add chilies, garlic, onion, ginger, and pepper.
3. Stir well.
4. Rest at least 30 minutes; longer resting gives a stronger flavor.

3) BAGOONG — KETO STYLE
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup sautéed shrimp paste (bagoong alamang); choose a variety without added sugar when possible
- 1 tbsp vinegar or calamansi juice
- 1–2 Thai chilies, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp olive oil (optional)
- Optional: allulose/monk fruit to balance saltiness

Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Mix thoroughly.
3. Rest 10–15 minutes.
4. Serve with vegetables, grilled meats, seafood, or other low-carb dishes.

4) SAWSAWAN — ALL-PURPOSE DIP
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup cane vinegar or calamansi juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 2–3 Thai chilies, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small shallot or red onion, sliced
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt, optional

Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Stir well.
3. Rest 5–10 minutes.
4. Serve with grilled, fried, roasted, or boiled dishes.

5) ADOBO SAUCE — RICH & SAVORY
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup coconut aminos OR gluten-free soy sauce/tamari
- 1/4 cup cane vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp whole black peppercorns, or cracked
- 1 tsp olive oil, optional
- Optional: allulose/monk fruit to taste

Directions:
1. Combine ingredients in a small saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil, then immediately reduce the heat.
3. Simmer 5–10 minutes.
4. Cool and remove bay leaves. Use as a dip or drizzle.

6) SUGAR-FREE SWEET CHILI — FILIPINO STYLE
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup cane vinegar or rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar-free ketchup
- 2–3 tbsp allulose or monk-fruit sweetener, to taste
- 2–3 Thai chilies, finely chopped, or to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp xanthan gum for thickening

Directions:
1. Combine water, vinegar, ketchup, garlic, and chilies in a saucepan.
2. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer 3–5 minutes.
3. Whisk in sweetener. Sprinkle in xanthan gum very gradually while whisking until lightly thickened.
4. Cool before serving; it thickens further as it cools.

KETOBEASTBEAUTY TIP
Use fresh ingredients for the brightest flavor. Adjust chilies to your heat preference and let vinegar-based sauces rest before serving so the flavors meld. Refrigerate leftovers in clean airtight containers. Storage time varies by recipe and ingredients; discard if aroma, appearance, or texture changes.

Burnt on the outside and irresistibly creamy inside! 💚 This Sugar-Free Pandan Basque Cheesecake combines the caramelized top of a classic Basque cheesecake with the fragrant tropical flavor of Filipino pandan.

Pandan is a tropical plant widely used in Filipino and Southeast Asian desserts. Its aroma is often described as sweet, floral, grassy, and slightly vanilla-like.

• 24 oz cream cheese, softened
• ¾ cup allulose or monk-fruit blend
• 4 large eggs
• 1 cup heavy whipping cream
• 1–1½ tsp sugar-free pandan extract
• 1 tsp vanilla
• ¼ tsp salt
• Optional green food coloring

Bake at 425°F or 220°C for 30–35 minutes. The top should be deeply browned while the center still jiggles. Cool for one hour, then refrigerate for at least four hours.
